I was first introduced to CrossFit by a fellow firefighter.  We were talking about training for the Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge and he said that CrossFit would best prepare me for it.  I looked at the website and tried a couple of workouts on my own.  I decided it was not necessary and would come up with my own "easier" way of training.  Six months later after training up to two hours a day I ran my first individual competition in the Combat Challenge.  It kicked my butt!  After that I decided to revisit the CrossFit methodology.  I tried it on my own for a few weeks and could tell I wasn't quite getting it.  That's when I joined CrossFit Vitality in Concord.  After that, I could really tell my fitness level was evolving.  When I started following the nutritional guidance endorsed by CrossFit, I saw even more improvements.  Now my work capacity has greatly increased and my physique has improved drastically.  All of this from little more than 1 hour a day, 4 to five 5 days a week.  In the past I have been competitive in mountain biking and running as well as serious weight training with nothing close to these results!

I have had a lot of family, friends, and co-workers ask me for fitness advice in the past.  Now I am glad to finally have a good answer to their questions.  CrossFit is the answer!  It is very satisfying now to train others in the CrossFit methodology and continue to improve my own fitness level.  It is more than just a workout for me, it is a lifestyle.
